Scott McCaulley, the long-time sports director for Branson radio stateion KRZK, has been in broadcasting for over 30 years. He is the son of well-known Springfield Sports Hall of Famer Nolan McCaulley, a retired basketball official who's still going strong in his 50th year as a baseball umpire.
During Scott's three-decade long broadcasting career, he had worked with many partners doing his play-by-play duties at various high school and college games. But when his regular color-analyst couldn't accompany him to Friday night's Branson high school game at Springfield Central, Scott thought of using a replacement who he was very familiar with yet never worked alongside before…His dad.
It turned out to be a great experience for both father and son…and you can see more on their night together and the memories it brought up in the accompanying video.
