Tenth ranked MidAmerica Nazarene scored 31 points in the second quarter to open up a 20 point halftime lead on their way to a 78-50 win over Evangel on Thursday night in Olathe, Kansas.
Pioneers center Tristan Wicks led all scorers with 20 points on 8 of 14 shooting while grabbing seven rebounds.
Evangel's Alison Jarrell led the Crusaders with 13 points and three three-pointers.
"They are big and athletic at every position," said Evangel head coach Leon Neal. "I thought we played hard but they just wore us down in the second half."
The loss dropped Evangel's record to 5-9 and 4-5 in the Heart of America conference. MidAmerica Nazarene improved to 13-3 and 8-1 in the league.
The Crusaders return home to play Culver-Stockton on Saturday. Tipoff is 2 p.m. in the Ashcroft Center.
