For the second consecutive week and fifth time this season, a Missouri State Lady Bear has earned Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week honors. Senior Kenzie Williams was awarded Monday (Jan. 25) for the second time this season and fifth in her career for performances in two MSU wins.
Williams averaged 21 points, five rebounds, three assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 51 percent from the floor in wins against Evansville and Southern Illinois.
Sunday, the senior poured in a season-high 25 points on 11-for-20 shooting, adding five rebounds, three assists and a steal versus SIU. Friday against Evansville, the Mt. Vernon, Mo., native tallied 17 points on 7-for-15 shooting with five boards, three assists, two steals and a blocked shot.
The Lady Bears (13-7, 6-2 MVC) wrap up their first trip through the MVC schedule at Wichita State (5-14, 2-6) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
