COLUMBIA, Mo. — The University of Missouri announced that senior quarterback Maty Mauk is suspended indefintely after a video surfaced on social media late Monday night.
The nine-second video shows a man alleged to be Mauk inhaling a white powder substance off a table.
"We are currently gathering information regardint the video in question," athletic director Mack Rhoades and head football coach Barry Odom said in a joint statement. "This is an issue we take very seriously and one that will not be tolerated within our program. We will take appropriate action once we have all the facts."
This is Mauk's third suspension in four months. The first came in September for a violation of team policy, followed by a season-ending suspension in November due to disciplinary reasons.
Odom previously said he expected Mauk to compete with Drew Lock for the starting quarterback position this fall.
