The Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA) has released its first regular season rankings for the 2016 season.
Southwest Missouri is well represented in Class 1, 3 and 4.
Walnut Grove, Hurley, New Covenant and Billings are all ranked 6th or higher in the Class 1 poll. In Class 3, Stockton, Mountain Grove and Conway are ranked 2-through-4, with Forsyth coming in at No. 9.
In Class 4, Monett, Carl Junction, Bolivar and Rogersville are ranked 4-through-7.
Galena (No. 5) is the lone SWMO team ranked in Class 2. Several local Class 2 teams are receiving votes. Kickapoo comes in at No. 8 in the Class 5 rankings.
