Missouri State will host a banquet celebrating assistant women’s basketball coach Jackie Stiles and her upcoming induction into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame on May 21 at Hammons Student Center.
The banquet begins at 6 p.m., with proceeds from ticket sales and fundraising at the event going towards the constructing of a statue honoring the NCAA Division I all-time scoring leader, as well as an endowed scholarship to be created in her name.
The bronze likeness of the former National Player of the Year will be unveiled early in the 2016-17 season on the southeast side of JQH adjacent to Bear Boulevard. The Hall of Fame’s 18th induction ceremony will take June 11, 2016, in Knoxville, Tenn.
