Postseason golf got underway on Monday, with district tournaments held at courses around the state.
The top two teams and top 15 individual finishers from non-qualifying teams at districts advanced to next Monday’s sectional round.
District 5 @ Piney Valley Golf Course
Glendale beat defending Class 4 state champion Rock Bridge by six strokes to secure a district team championship. Four Falcons placed in the Top 10: Alex Locke, Graham Sherard, Chase Gafner and Sam Holmes.
Rock Bridge’s Ross Steelman placed first individually, shooting a 2-under. Camdenton’s Braden Demark tied with Locke and Sherard for second place.
Qualifiers from Class 4, District 6 will compete in a sectional round Monday, May 9 at Rivercut in Springfield.

District 6 @ Twin Hills Country Club
Nixa bested Kickapoo by 25 strokes to bring home the team championship from District 6. Nixa’s Lucas Turnbull finished first overall with an even-par 72 round.
Two other Nixa golfers placed in the Top 10: Seth Kovak (second overall) and Landers Ramsey.
Qualifiers from Class 4, District 6 will compete in a sectional round Monday, May 9 at Rivercut in Springfield.

District 5 @ Mtn. View Municipal Golf Course
Mountain View-Birch Tree Liberty won the team title by 30 strokes. Ava’s Taylor Haltom was individual medalist, placing first by eight strokes.
Mountain Grove finished second in the team standings. Liberty’s Jordan McAfee and Mathew Coatney finished second and third, respectively.
Qualifiers from Monday’s round will compete in the Class 2, Sectional 3 tournament at Bill & Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield on May 9.
CLASS 2 DISTRICT 5 RESULTS

District 6 @ Karen Kjar Memorial Golf Course
Springfield Catholic owned the day in Monday’s Class 2, District 6 tournament at Buffalo’s Karen Kjar Memorial Golf Course.
Three Irish golfers made up the top three finishers. Nick Palmer was third, Nate Bailey second and Nick Walz took first overall with an even-par round of 72.
Lamar finished second in the team standings.
Qualifiers from Monday’s round will compete in the Class 2, Sectional 3 tournament at Bill & Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield on May 9.
CLASS 2 DISTRICT 6 FULL RESULTS

District 1 @ Crowley Ridge
Thayer didn’t place in the top two, but the Bobcats will compete as a team in next week’s sectional round after qualifying four golfers from Monday’s district competition at Crowley Ridge Recreational Center in Bloomfield.
Zack Smith, Dagen Jones, Trevor Jenkins and Beau Kaffka all advanced to sectionals for Thayer by placing in the Top 15 of non-team qualifiers.
Lutie qualified three golfers for sect ionals: Jaylon Stevens, Kodi Shockey and Ryan Garrison. Other local qualifiers included: Thomas Pointer (Gainesville), Brandon Marcak (Dora) and Peyton Emery (Cabool).
Qualifiers from the Class 1, District 1 tournament will compete in the Class 1, Sectional 1 tournament on May 9 at The Oaks at Tan-Tar-A in Osage Beach.

District 3 @ Windmill Ridge
Greenwood dominated Monday’s round at Windmill Ridge Golf Course in Monett, placing five golfers in the Top 10 to take the overall team title by 47 strokes.
Galena’s Adam Cunnyngham and Purdy’s Matt Wilson tied for individual medalist honors.

Tommy Montileone, John Ankrom, Tony Brandt, Jacob Kassing and Matt Rowe all placed in the Top 10 for Greenwood.

Lincoln claimed the team title from the Class 1, District 4 tournament at Clinton Country Club. Lincoln’s Boone Kroenke tied with Green Ridge’s Peyton Needy for first overall.
Hermitage qualified two golfers for sectionals in Jeff Salmon and Mitchell Bigham.
Qualifiers from Monday’s Class 1, District 4 competition head to the Class 1, Sectional 2 tournament on Monday, May 9 at Hoots Hollow Golf Course in Harrisonville.
Three Crocker golfers qualified for sectionals from the Class 1, District 2 tournament held at Eugene’s Redfield Golf Course & Country Club. Advancing for the Lions were: Zach Kubinski, Mason Boorom and Jared Bowling.
