Evangel University tennis had two doubles teams and an individual named all-conference in a vote of the top players from both the Heart of America and American Midwest conferences.
Breanna Feemster was selected to the first team in singles. Feemster, a junior from Springfield-Hillcrest that graduated from Evangel in three years, went 11-4 in singles play seeing six opponents from NCAA-II programs. She was as a second team all-conference pick last year.
Feemster was also part of a duo named first team in doubles. Feemster and Jenna Elliott, a senior from Green, Ohio, were 11-5 this season. It marked the third time Elliott’s career she has been part of a first team all-conference doubles team and this was the first year she was paired with Feemster.
Alicia Williams and Mairead Cleary were named a second team all-conference doubles pair. The two went 9-3 in doubles play before an injury to Williams cut their season short as a duo. Williams was a senior from St. John’s, Antigua. Cleary, a junior from Sydney, Australia, completed her first season with Evangel after transferring from Anderson (S.C.).
The Crusaders went 8-8 this season and advanced to the semifinals of the Heart of America – American Midwest conference tournament championship.
