Hayley Baca, West Plains – CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ABOUT BACA

Baca was the top runner for a West Plains team that once again was among the state’s best. She won her conference (19:52) and district meets (19:17) and was 28th at the state meet (19:47), where the Zizzers placed 8th among Class 4 competition.

Adeline Holder, Branson – CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ABOUT HOLDER

Holder was consistently one of the area’s top runners throughout the fall. She ran 19:29 to win the COC-Large meet in mid-October, then later a 19:42 to place 3rd at districts. In her sectional meet, Holder was the top local finisher with a time of 19:27. Holder finished 54th in the Class 4 state meet, crossing the finish line in 20:12.

Tabitha Weber, Marshfield – CLICK HERE FOR A 2014 & 2015 FEATURE ON WEBER

The Marshfield junior maintained her streak of Top 10 finishes at state, placing 7th in Class 3 last fall with a time of 19:36. Weber, a junior who plays basketball in the winter and runs track in the spring, took first at her district meet with a 19:24 performance.

The area’s most decorated distance runner won the Class 1 state race by one minute and 20 seconds, crossing the finish line in 19:21. Along with a second-place finish from Katie McCune and a third-place finish from Claire McCune, Summit Prep placed second in the Class 1 team standings. Workman also took first at her district meet (21:08).
