Sanders averaged 16 points per game, 4 steals per game and 1.5 blocks per game, leading the Lady Chiefs to the Class 5 state title in March.
She has ties to California and chose the Big West school for more than just its basketball program.
"I chose Irvine because I had lived in California several years and I just really enjoyed the environment and my time there," said Sanders. "Other than that it's also somewhere I can get a quality education and it gives me the opportunity to help build a program with a great coaching staff."
Sanders had originally committed to Illinois State of the Missouri Valley Conference, but decommitted in April.
Kickapoo returns several key players this upcoming season in their quest to repeat as state champs.
Sanders is also a standout track athlete; establishing the Class 5 javelin record earlier this Spring.
