Springfield Hillcrest grad Dorial Green-Beckham is on the move. The 2015 2nd round draft pick was sent from the Titans to the Eagles via trade Tuesday. In return, the Titans receive Philly's 2012 fifth round pick, lineman Dennis Kelly.
"Not to speak on Philly's behalf but they inquired about it," Titans general manager Jon Robinson told NFL.com. "They thought it was a good opportunity for him, and we thought adding Dennis would be good for our football team. We are moving on. I appreciate everything Dorial did when he was here. He bought in to what we were trying to do. But in the end we felt like this was the best decision for the team."

"We felt like it was an opportunity to increase the competition level at the wide receiver position," said Eagles Exec. V.P. of Football Operations Howie Roseman at a Tuesday morning press conference. "We felt like the timing was right now while we have time to work with him.”
Green-Beckham played in all 16 games for the TItans in 2015, recording 32 catches for 549 yards and four touchdowns; all top 10 among rookies.
DGB was spectaular at moments last season, but was considered inconsistent at other times.
“He needs to get more consistent," said Roseman. "Incredibly talented guy and he’s got to make the most of the situation.”

The writing for a move like this might have been on the wall as early as last week. Titans head coach Mike Mularkey told the Titans Website that he wanted to see more from DGB in all areas:
"Nobody wants to please and do good for this team more than he does," Mularkey said of Green-Beckham. "And I know that. He's just got to find a way to come out every day and make the plays that are called his way. That's got to be every day, and it just hasn’t been that way.
“I’d say (he’s) inconsistent still. It’s bad day, good day, same thing since the very first day.”
…
"Spending extra time, that’s doing things when nobody is watching," Mularkey said when asked what Green-Beckham needs to do to improve. "That's in the classroom. I think it's just putting the work in without being directed by anybody. Doing it yourself.
"I would do it more (than he’s doing)," Mularkey said. "I mean he does do it. I would do it more. He does do it. I’d do it more."
The Eagles' second preseason game is Thursday night at Pittsburgh.
