Lynn, 29, has been one of the premier starting pitchers in baseball since making his Major League debut with St. Louis on June 2, 2011, posting a career record of 61-39 with a 3.37 ERA through 150 games and 128 starts. With 60 wins from 2012 – 15, the 2012 National League All-Star ranks 6th among Major League pitchers for most wins through the past four seasons. He is also one of only nine pitchers in the big leagues to strike out at least 165 batters every year since 2012.

A stalwart of the Cardinals postseason rotation, Lynn is tied with RHP Adam Wainwright as the Cardinals all-time leader with 24 playoff appearances. Lynn is the only pitcher in the Majors to appear in each of the past five postseasons, guiding the Cardinals to a 13-11 record in playoff games in which he pitches.

The former Springfield Cardinal was a Texas League Midseason and Postseason All-Star in 2009 when he went 11-4 with a 2.92 ERA through 22 starts.
