The Irish let a 14-0 first-half lead slip into a 14-14 deadlock at the half, but any momentum Marshfield gathered disappeared after Catholic quarterback Tyson Riley went 99 yards early in the third quarter to put the Irish up 21-14. That lead would balloon to 42-14 before Marshfield scored a pair of late touchdowns. Catholic is sitting at 2-1 heading into next week's home matchup with 3-0 Fair Grove.

Korey Robinette had over half those yards, running for 152 and a pair of scores, 130 of which came in the second half. The two were tied 14-14 at the half, but two third-quarter Reeds Spring touchdowns were plenty of cushion. Bolivar cut a 35-20 lead to 35-28 with 10:15 to play with a Brandon Emmert touchdown, but wouldn't get any closer.

Sarcoxie led this one 31-7 late in the second quarter and moved to 2-1 on the season.

Buffalo 34, Diamond 33 – FINAL — CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS
Pretty big upset here. At least on paper. Diamond looked like it would cruise to 3-0 after going up 27-7 on Buffalo midway through the second quarter, but the Bison would score 20 unanswered to tie things 27-27 late in the third. Diamond went up again with 9:00 to play, but Buffalo would respond two minutes later with the game-winning score. Maybe that Baylor spread is finally clicking for Buffalo. The Bison are 2-1 for the first time since 2011.

Ash Grove 14, El Dorado Springs 6 – FINAL — CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS
That Pirates defense just keeps rolling. Ash Grove is 3-0 and has given up just 18 total points in those wins (6.0 PPG allowed) after allowing just over 16 points per game in 2015.

Appleton City 18, Rich Hill 13 – FINAL
Pretty good game here. Rich Hill overcame a 12-0 first-half deficit to take a 13-12 lead with 7:53 to play in the third quarter, but Appleton City quarterback Billy Prater led the Bulldogs right back, running one in with 2:29 to play in the third quarter in what would prove to be the game-winning score. The Bulldogs are now 2-1.

Carrollton 6, Cole Camp 0 – FINAL
No points on the board in this one until a Carrollton score with 2:19 to play in the third quarter. That'd be it for either side as Cole Camp dropped its first game of the season.

St. Pius X (Kansas City) 34, Nevada 0 – FINAL
Nevada trailed 14-0 after the first quarter and never could get anything going against St. Pius X, dropping to 0-3.
