Dylan Bekemeier captured his first title of the season winning the 2016 Evangel Fall Invitational Tuesday at Rivercut Golf Course.
Bekemeir, a native of Republic, improved on his final round as he carded a 71 after identical rounds of 73 on Monday. The junior finished with a 217 while second place Andrew Grant of Missouri Baptist finished with a 220.
Brian Cauldwell also earned a top 20 finish as he tied for 15th with a 231 in the two-day tournament.
As a team, Evangel improved one place in Tuesday’s final round earning a fourth place finish. The Crusaders improved four strokes in their final round to post a 924 team score. Newman earned the team title with an 897 followed by Missouri Baptist at 918 and Columbia College at 919.
