Josh Pruett and Liberty stayed perfect behind yet another efficient offensive and defensive effort, riding a 28-point second quarter to a 36-0 halftime lead and a 7-0 record. Brenton Bush put up 186 yards and two touchdowns on 11 receptions IN THE FIRST HALF before sitting for the final two quarters. Liberty travels to Salem next week as it looks to move to 8-0.

Glendale secured the program’s 300th after five first-half touchdowns by Alex Huston gave the Falcons a 42-7 halftime lead over Rolla. Three of those touchdowns (98 yards, 77 yards, 28 yards) went to Luke Montgomery. Glendale is now 8-0 with a trip to winless Waynesville coming next week.
Ozark 17, No. 4 Webb City 12 – FINAL
Webb jumped offsides on an Ozark 4th and 2 in the night’s only upset of a ranked team. Even more notable is this was the first time in Ozark history that the program has beat Webb City in 16 tries. The Tigers led the whole way and took a 17-6 lead with 4:39 to play in the third on a one-yard Jack Hulse touchdown run. Ozark’s defense forced four turnovers. Webb trailed 17-12 in the third quarter after Hunter Vanlue broke a 65-yard touchdown run. The Cardinals had two possessions inside the Ozark 40 in the game’s final four minutes but couldn’t convert.

No. 4 Monett 35, McDonald County 0 – FINAL
McDonald County held Monett scoreless over the first 12 minutes but three touchdowns in the second quarter put this one away. Monett added two touchdowns in the third quarter to improve its record to 6-1. Monett’s defense forced three first-half interceptions to help spark the offense. Ian Meyer, Cody Thompson and Mason Swearingen scored in the first half for Monett. Meyer added a second touchdown following an 80-yard drive that opened the third quarter. A Michael Branch touchdown made the score 35-0.
No. 4 Lincoln 60, Slater 6 – FINAL
Lincoln led Slater 32-0 after the first quarter and 52-0 at the half in yet another easy win for the undefeated Cardinals. Boone Kroenke padded his stats with an 8-11, 100-yard, two-touchdown passing effort, adding a pair of sacks on defense.

Willard put a massive scare into Carl Junction but fell short after CJ safety Michael Elbert wrestled away the football from Kenny Chambers for an interception on what could have been a 64-yard completion that would've set Willard up for one final play in the red zone with under 10 seconds left. The Bulldogs trailed 20-7 at the half before scoring 17 third-quarter points.

Mountain Grove bounced back nicely from its loss to Liberty by handling a pretty good Salem team that was 4-2 heading into Friday. Trystan Short led the attack for the Panthers with 105 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

Greenfield scored 92 points against Hughesville last year, so you could say the team has regressed. Kidding, obviously! The Wildcats led 64-20 at the half tonight to stay perfect. Charles Servoss finished with 14 carries for 265 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Servoss added a 43-yard touchdown pass. Jerrett Esposito was a BEAST on defense, recording four sacks.

No. 8 Kickapoo 42, West Plains 21 – FINAL
West Plains has been sneaky at times this year and nearly snuck up and into a win against Kickapoo tonight, leading 21-17 at the half. But the Chiefs would wake up quickly, scoring 18 points in the third quarter and 25 unanswered in the second half to move to 6-1 ahead of a big Week 8 matchup with Lebanon. Keegan Hoopes broke the career touchdowns record for West Plains in the loss.
No. 8 Fair Grove 59, Marionville 21 – FINAL
Ryan Mayberry got Comets fans up early with a 43-yard touchdown run but Fair Grove would respond with 36 unanswered first-half points. Touchdowns by Evan Fullerton (54-yard catch) and Dalton Cloyd (15-yard run, 4-yard run) put the Eagles up 21-7 with 8:09 left in the first half. The undefeated Eagles visit one-loss Ash Grove next week.

The Tigers led 19-0 in the third quarter and outgained Nixa 430-161, holding the Eagles to just 13 passing yards. Carthage finished with 430 yards, 190 rushing and 240 passing.

Big win for Ava in a battle of 4-2 teams, and on the road, too. The Bears never trailed in this one and led the entire way after turning a 6-6 tie into a 13-6 lead in the first quarter. Thayer pulled within 20-13 in the second half but Ava would respond with 14 unanswered points. Ava has won three straight now since its back-to-back losses to Mountain Grove and Liberty. They visit winless Cabool next week. Ava finished with 323 rushing yards.

Hillcrest 31, Parkview 24 – FINAL/THURS – CLICK HERE FOR A RECAP/PHOTOS
Hillcrest led 19-8 at the half and held off a Parkview rally in the second half thanks in large part to 119 second-half rush yards by Erik Savage. Savage would finish with 195 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in his first game in two weeks. The Hornets (3-4) have a chance to move to .500 against Rolla next week.
Lighthouse 48, Central 32 – FINAL/THURS – CLICK HERE FOR A RECAP/PHOTOS
Bryan Taylor carried the ball 42 times for 152 yards and five touchdowns at Central on Thursday, adding 187 yards through the air as the Chargers held off Central. Freshman halfback Montrey White had a strong showing, rushing for 278 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries.
Branson 21, Republic 14 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR A RECAP/PHOTOS/VIDEO
Chad Utzman broke a 14-14 tie with a 19-yard touchdown run for Branson halfway into the third quarter. The Pirates would shut down Republic for the entire second half, holding the Tigers to 80 yards of total offense over the final 24 minutes. Riley Watkins ran for a pair of touchdowns for Branson. Ryan Still threw for 223 yards and a touchdown for Branson. Good win for a Pirates team that had seen a number of close games painfully slip away in the second half this year.
Skyline 35, Strafford 28 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR A RECAP/PHOTOS/VIDEO
This game saw six lead changes with the final coming on a Skyline touchdown with 9:38 remaining that turned a 28-27 Strafford lead into a 35-28 Skyline advantage. The win was Skyline’s fourth in five games after an 0-2 start. For Strafford, this was the second consecutive tough loss after falling 28-22 at Fair Grove last week. Strafford led 22-19 at the half. Skyline took a 27-22 lead with 4:47 to play in the third quarter. Strafford would take the lead back for the last time on a Kensen White touchdown pass with 3:08 to play in the third quarter.
Lebanon 42, Joplin 35 – FINAL
This was all but guaranteed to be both a good game and a shootout, and waddyaknow, it was both. It didn’t seem like it would be early, however, after Joplin scored the game’s first 21 points up to the 11:22 mark of the second quarter. Lebanon responded with 21 unanswered points over the next six minutes to tie the game, but Joplin would lead 28-21 at the half. The Eagles went up 35-21 with four minutes left in the third quarter before two John Berry touchdowns tied the game and a one-yard Cole Breeden sneak (after a 68-yard Berry run) put Lebanon up 42-35 with 4:45 remaining. Lebanon’s defense would make a late stop with Joplin deep in its own territory. Lebanon finished with 510 yards of total offense. Joplin was held to 286 total yards.

Willow Springs 40, Houston 18 – FINAL
Willow Springs is 4-3 for the first time since 2013, but it wasn’t as easy as the final shows. Houston rushed out to a 12-0 first-quarter lead, but the Bears tallied off 14 points to lead by two at the half. Willow extended that lead to 21-12 early in the second half, but Houston responded with a kick return touchdown to cut the lead to three. The Bears ended with 19 unanswered points.
East Newton 31, El Dorado Springs 30 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS
The Patriots have now won two games for the first time since 2008 with this win over ElDo. East Newton went up 31-30 with 8:22 remaining after two El Dorado Springs personal fouls set up Coleman Booker for a 12-yard touchdown run. The Patriots clinched it after a strip fumble recovery with 49 seconds left. ElDo led 22-16 at the half and 30-16 in the third quarter.
Mount Vernon 42, Aurora 28 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS
The Mountaineers know how to put on a show on offense and did it again Friday, winning the Bell Bowl in the process. The win has extra significance as it was the first time Mt. Vernon's has senior class has beaten Aurora. Garrett Hadlock totaled four touchdowns (3 passing), completing 19 of 29 passes for 289 yards.

A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT. I’ve been waiting all year to say that, sorry. (If the reference is missed, click here). River Phelps ran through Seneca’s defense for 258 yards and SIX touchdowns Friday, adding five extra points with his foot and a two-point conversion with his legs. In total, he accounted for 43 of Cassville’s 59 points. Big props to Troy Rose as well, who picked off three passes. This one was close at the half with Seneca trailing by just seven, 21-14.

The Wolves are COC-Small champs for the first time in over a decade, and they did it with a true team effort as five different players scored touchdowns. Reeds Spring (6-1) built a 21-0 halftime lead. The scoring got started with Blake Gronvold hit Ransom Allphin for a 51-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Reeds Spring ran for 340 total yards.

Tyson Riley and Ramiro Avila both went over 700 yards rushing this season and Catholic jumped to 4-3 on the season in a 38-point win over Hollister. The Irish didn’t let Hollister stick around, leading 38-0 at the half. Catholic totaled 407 rushing yards and Colleen Kerr was crowned Springfield Catholic’s homecoming queen. Congratulations, Colleen, Queen of the Irish.

Connor Sechler threw four touchdowns to give himself 20 on the season and Bolivar won its fourth game in a row. The Liberators have scored 55 points three times over their four-game win streak and led 49-0 at the half behind 308 first-half yards.

Camdenton has scored 154 total points over three consecutive wins since its 42-0 loss to Kickapoo. The Lakers have what seems like a tougher game coming next week when it hopes a good Joplin team.

Five score changes in this game before Jasper 15 unanswered points in the fourth quarter for its second win of the season. Liberal led 16-12 at the half and carried that score through the third quarter before Jasper went up 20-16 with 4:49 to play.
Diamond 47, Miller 8 – FINAL
Diamond led Miller 34-8 at the half and cruised through the game’s final 24 minutes to jump to 5-2 on the season. Diamond hosts 1-6 Liberal next week. Miller visits Lockwood.
Lockwood 28, Sarcoxie 16 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS
Sarcoxie led 10-0 in the first quarter but lost the lead for good late in the first half on a 73-yard touchdown run by Jobe Edwards. Lockwood would end up scoring 28 unanswered points before Sarcoxie scored a late one with under one minute to play. Lockwood (6-1) takes control of the SRVC with this win over Sarcoxie (5-2).

Adrian 35, Osceola 12 – FINAL
Osceola dropped to 0-7 in Friday’s loss to Adrian. The Indians put up a good fight, trailing just 14-12 at the half and 21-12 through three quarters.
Appleton City 33, Archie 26 – FINAL
Big win for Appleton City against an Archie team that’s much better than the record advertises. Appleton led 18-13 at the half. Archie led 26-25 through three quarters. The Bulldogs jumped to 5-2 with the win. Archie is 1-6 with all of its losses coming by no more than eight points and all against teams sitting above .500.
DeSoto (Kan.) 35, Nevada 0 – FINAL
Nevada trailed 14-0 at the half and couldn’t find the endzone over the final 24 minutes against DeSoto, falling to 2-5 on the season.
Hallsville 51, Warsaw 6 – FINAL
Hallsville led 20-0 at the half. Warsaw (0-7) remains winless. They host Southern Boone (5-2) next week.
Harrison (Ark.) 26, Clarksville (Ark.) 0 – FINAL
Harrison scraped away at Clarksville throughout the second half after a 6-0 halftime lead. The Goblins are now 4-1 this season.
Pine Bluff (Ark.) 36, Mountain Home (Ark.) 0 – FINAL
Mountain Home remained winless after falling behind 30-0 at the half to Pine Bluff (3-1).
Berryville (Ark.) 52, Gentry (Ark.) 44 – FINAL
Berryville (3-2) got its first conference win in a shootout with Gentry on Friday. This game was tied 22-22 at the half.
Clinton 42, Green Forest (Ark.) 14 – FINAL
Clinton led Green Forest 42-0 at the half, eventually dropping the Tigers to 1-4 on the season.
Greenland (Ark.) 40, Yellville-Summit (Ark.) 20 – FINAL
Yellville led Greenland 18-13 with 17 seconds left in the first half but gave up that lead in those final seconds, finding themselves trailing 19-18 at the break. Greenland led 33-20 after the third quarter and never trailed again after taking that 19-18 lead. Yellville is 0-4-1 this season (tie due to weather cancellation).
