No. 1 Lamar 49, Seneca 6 – FINAL
It took Lamar a little under 18 minutes of game time to put up 43 points, meaning the Tigers cruised once again, rounding out a second straight undefeated regular season.

No. 1 Chaminade 37, Springfield Central 0 – FINAL
Kudos to Central for scheduling the state’s top-ranked Class 5 program. The Bulldogs trailed, 37-0, at the half. The two stayed scoreless over the final 24 minutes.

No. 2 MV-BT/Liberty 55, Houston 15 – FINAL
Liberty matching Lamar win-for-win for the second straight regular season, finishing 9-and-0. The Eagles led 28-0 after one quarter and 47-0 at the half.

Camdenton put a bit of a scare into Glendale for much of this game. A Dyllan Decker two-yard touchdown run with 11:12 to play brought the Lakers within seven of Glendale, 42-35, after trailing 42-21 with 3:45 to play in the third quarter. But the Falcons responded with 21 unanswered over the final eight minutes to push their record to 9-and-0. This is Glendale’s fourth nine-win season in program history.

No. 4 Carl Junction 47, Nixa 14 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS
Michael Elbert intercepted Andrew Rivera on Nixa’s first play from scrimmage, setting up an early Rayquion Weston touchdown as Carl Junction all but cruised to a 33-point win. The Bulldogs went up 20-0 in the game’s first eight minutes and led 34-7 at halftime. The loss was the fourth consecutive for Nixa after a 5-and-0 start.

No. 4 Monett 56, East Newton 13 – FINAL
Monett celebrated senior night by going up 56-6 on East Newton in the first half thanks to scores by six different seniors. Mason Swearingen scored on a 24-yard touchdown reception to open the game; Michael Branch added a pair of touchdowns (40 yards, 37 yards); Brody Crawford caught a 20-yard touchdown from Ian Meyer; Brian Parra-Navarra caught a 32-yard touchdown from Meyer; and Onis Howard ran one in from five yards and recovered a fumble in the endzone.

Lincoln didn’t bat an eye at its toughest challenge of the regular season. The Cardinals went up 24-0 at the half on the Class 2 Blue Birds (7-2), nearly doubling that total for the 46-0 final. Shoutout to Blake Roberts, who returned TWO interceptions for touchdowns. Lincoln’s defense ends the regular season having allowed just 49 total points. The offense has scored 476 total points. Put that together and what do you get? An average final of 52.9-to-5.4. That’s pretty good!

The Panthers put up a ridiculous 605 total yards of offense on Friday against Thayer, winning their third straight since Liberty handed them their only loss of the season back in Week 6. Since that loss, Grove has outscored opponents 167-8.

No. 7 Kickapoo 43, Waynesville 0 – FINAL
Kickapoo’s offense looked good without Maverick McGee, leaning on Chris Lawson to build a 21-0 halftime lead over Waynesville. The Chiefs finish the regular season 8-and-1, with their only loss coming against Glendale.

Fair Grove led Adrian just 10-6 with 7:57 to play in the first half but scored 20 points over the final eight minutes to crush any upset hopes the Blackhawks may have possessed at that point. The Mid-Lakes champs completed a perfect regular season with the win.

Arkell Smith caught a pair of touchdowns to help Carthage secure the COC-Large title with a 35-21 win over Neosho. Carthage led 28-to-14 through three quarters, but Neosho cut that lead to seven when Coleman Scott hit Ethan Siler for a score with 8:20 to play. The Tigers would scrape away at the clock and go up 14 with 1:27 remaining on a 10-yard run by Keith Guest II.

No. 8 Webb City 55, Branson 14 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS
Hunter Vanlue had touchdown runs of 52 and 75 yards to help Webb City close out its season with a 41-point win at Branson. The Pirates led, 7-0, early in the first quarter, but the Cardinals responded with 21 unanswered points, eventually leading 28-14 at the half. Branson trailed 21-14 before Webb ended the game with 34 unanswered points.

No. 8 Skyline 50, El Dorado Springs 42 – FINAL
El Dorado Springs came into this game having won three of four since its 0-and-4 start to the season. That momentum nearly pushed them to a big-time upset of Skyline. The Tigers led 28-22 at the half and 36-22 with 4:52 to play in the third quarter, but the Bulldogs fought back with 14 unanswered points to tie things, 36-36, with 8:43 to play. Skyline went back on top, 44-36, with 6:37 remaining in the fourth quarter. But ElDo would respond again, finding the endzone with 3:31 remaining but failing to convert the two-point try, making the score 44-42. Skyline went up 50-42 with 1:41 left in the game and would hold on for the win.

Catholic 16, No. 10 Reeds Spring 14 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR A FULL RECAP/PHOTOS/VIDEO
Two teams that haven’t had much trouble putting up big yardage numbers put up a defensive struggle on Friday, with Catholic holding on at home to secure a share of the COC-Small championship after blocking a Reeds Spring field goal attempt with 36 seconds remaining. Reeds Spring outgained Catholic 264-to-128 in total offense. Catholic led 10-0 in the second quarter and 10-7 at the half, with Ryan Miller’s 37-yard field goal being the difference at that point. The Irish extended their lead to 16-7 in the third quarter and would hold off Reeds Spring late after the Wolves cut that lead to 16-14.

Jasper 21, No. 10 Lockwood 19 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS

Great win for Jasper to end the regular season. The Eagles led Lockwood 21-0 at halftime and held on late for their third win of the season after ending a ferocious second-half Lockwood rally by intercepting a Will Beerly pass in the endzone in the game’s final minute. Lockwood fought back hard in the second half, cutting the deficit to 21-7 on a Beerly five-yard touchdown run with three minutes left in the third. A Jobe Edwards touchdown cut into the lead again, making it 21-13 Jasper with 10 minutes to play. Beerly would connect with Brady Waters from 41-yards out just a few minutes later, making the deficit 21-19 with 6:45 on the clock. The loss cost Lockwood an outright SRVC title.

OTHER AREA GAMES

Willard 40, Republic 7 – FINAL
Two straight wins to end the season for Willard, this one coming over rival Republic. Willard forced three first-half turnovers and converted all into points, leading 33-0 at the break. Willard’s defense held Republic to just 106 total yards. Republic starting quarterback Riley Watkins was out with an injury. Willard totaled 268 yards of offense. An 82-yard Brock Howard touchdown run put Willard up 12-0 in the first quarter.

Ozark 34, Bolivar 12 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR FULL RECAP/PHOTS/VIDEO
Ozark won its fourth straight to end a fantastic regular season and Bolivar clinched a share of the COC-Small title despite the loss, thanks to Catholic’s win over Reeds Spring. That makes it 14-straight COC-Small titles for Bolivar (this year’s being a three-way tie with Catholic and Reeds). The Liberators trailed 20-12 through three quarters, but Ozark used a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns by Devin Mayes and Reed Herrold to pull away. Bolivar’s Lane Loomer surpassed 1,532 rush yards this season, setting a new single-season program record. In addition, Connor Sechler set a new single-season touchdown passes mark and Brandon Emmert a new single-season touchdown receptions mark.

Cassville blocked a Mt. Vernon field goal attempt as time expired after Garrett Hadlock engineered a long drive over the game’s final three minutes to get the Mountaineers down to Cassville’s two-yard line with five seconds remaining. The block secured the one-point Cassville win. The Wildcats led 17-15 at the half after River Phelps nailed a 37-yard field goal to end the half. Mt. Vernon went up 21-17 early in the second half and led Cassville 29-23 in the fourth quarter before the Wildcats went up for good, 30-29, with 7:21 to play. The Wildcats ran for 449 total yards.

These two combined for over 1,000 total yards of offense in a wild one at Hillcrest. Joplin led 24-21 at the half. Hillcrest cut 10-point Joplin second-half leads to three points on two occasions but could never pull even with the Eagles. Joplin finished with 520 total yards (470 rushing) on 92 plays. Hillcrest totaled 487 yards (421 passing) on 51 plays.

Lebanon ran for 469 yards to close out the regular season with a 6-and-3 record and a win on senior night over Parkview. The Vikings led 29-28 late in the third quarter before Lebanon put up 19 unanswered points to put things away. Cole Breeden and John Berry both ran for three scores for Lebanon. Berry ran for 304 yards.

Rogersville 42, Buffalo 26 – FINAL
Rogersville led Buffalo 20-13 at the half and controlled much of the second half for a season-ending road win.

Strafford 33, Ash Grove 7 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS
Strafford led 13-0 at the half and 26-0 in the fourth quarter before Ash Grove found the endzone. Five of Strafford’s losses—and their last three—have come by eight points or less, so this one has to feel good. Ash Grove was without seven injured starters.

Aurora 28, McDonald County 14 – FINAL
Preston Naylor caught four touchdowns for Aurora as the Houn’ Dawgs held off McDonald County. Aurora led 20-14 at the half. McDonald County led, 14-7, after the first quarter.

Hollister 28, Marshfield 14 – FINAL
Hollister (5-4) secured its first regular season with a winning record in its six-year program history with Friday’s win. The Tigers led Marshfield 20-7 at the half.

Stockton 41, Marionville 20 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR FULL RECAP/PHOTOS
Stockton used 13 unanswered points to pull away from Marionville in the fourth quarter after the Comets had cut a 28-14 lead to 28-20 with 10:26 to play.

Salem 39, Cabool 7 – FINAL
JJ McGowan totaled 243 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Salem in Friday’s win over winless Cabool. Salem led 19-7 at the half and finished with 400 rushing yards.

Ava 61, Willow Springs 27 – FINAL
More big numbers for Ava as the Bears overpower a Willow Springs team that was coming off a 19-0 win over Thayer last week. Ava led 21-0 after just four total plays from scrimmage and totaled 447 yards of offense (353 rushing).

Stephen Copeland: 132 yards rushing
Caleb Johnson: 3 rush touchdowns, 2 pass touchdowns

Pierce City 42, Sarcoxie 28 – FINAL
Great win for Pierce City on senior night. The Eagles led Sarcoxie 35-14 in the third quarter in a game that they mostly dominated on the scoreboard.

Appleton City 33, Miller 14 – FINAL
Appleton City pulled away from Miller in the second half after leading 14-6 at halftime. The Bulldogs (7-2) close out the regular season on a five-game winning streak.

Clinton 49, Nevada 20 – FINAL
Clinton never led Nevada threaten in this one, leading 28-6 at the half and 49-13 with 6:44 to play in the fourth quarter.

Summit Christian 60, Lighthouse Christian 20 – FINAL – CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS
A very good Summit Christian side put Lighthouse Christian away early behind a 32-6 halftime lead, pulling away from the Charges in the second half.

Pleasant Hope 20, Osceola 18 – FINAL
The Pirates (1-8) pulled off their first win of the season with a dramatic two-point victory over Osceola (0-9) in a battle of a pair of 0-and-8 teams.

Diamond 43, Archie 7 – FINAL
Diamond had no trouble disposing of Archie on Friday, leading 43-0 in the fourth quarter and 21-0 at the half.

Liberal 28, Rich Hill 22 – FINAL
Tyler Stebbins scored three times and picked off a Rich Hill pass, helping Liberal to its second win of the season after scoring his third touchdown of the night with 8:48 remaining to put his team up, 28-22. Rich Hill led 16-12 at the half and 22-12 in the third quarter. Liberal cut that lead to 22-20 with 2:58 left in the third.

Blair Oaks 45, Warsaw 6 – FINAL
Blair Oaks secured its second consecutive perfect regular season after cruising to a 39-point win over Warsaw. Warsaw trailed 32-0 after the first quarter.

Greenbrier (Ark.) 48, Harrison (Ark.) 43 – FINAL
Greenbrier handed Harrison (6-1) its first loss of 2016 in a shootout on Friday. The Goblins led 36-34 through three quarters and 43-42 with 8:06 remaining, but a Greenbrier touchdown with 3:06 left in the game would be the last time either side found the endzone.

Marion (Ark.) 42, Mountain Home (Ark.) 16 – FINAL
Marion led 35-0 at the half and 42-8 through three quarters, dropping Mountain Home to 1-and-6 on the season.

Gravette (Ark.) 33, Berryville (Ark.) 13 – FINAL
Big win for Gravette (4-3), which moves to 2-2 in conference and drops Berryville (3-4) to 1-3. Gravette led 12-6 at the half and used a 14-0 third quarter to pull away.

Mountain View (Ark.) 43, Green Forest (Ark.) 0 – FINAL
Mountain View (6-1) rolled over an overmatched Green Forest (2-5), leading 37-0 through three quarters. Mountain View is 4-and-0 in conference.

Melbourne (Ark.) 19, Yellville-Summit (Ark.) 13 – FINAL
Yellville-Summit and Melbourne were tied through three quarters, 13-13, but the Panthers failed to secure the first win of the season after Melbourne scored a fourth-quarter touchdown.
