Jeff Weseloh (SBU Sports Information) Southwest Baptist University junior running back Bubba Jenkins has earned 2nd Team All-Region honors from the D2CCA (Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association) as announced by the organization today.
Jenkins had a record setting year in the backfield for Southwest Baptist, breaking the SBU and GLVC single season rushing yards record with 1,739 rushing yards to go along with an SBU single season record 20 rushing touchdowns. Jenkins currently ranks 3rd in the NCAA Division II in rushing yards and 2nd in the NCAA Division II in rushing touchdowns. Jenkins was previously named a unanimous 1st Team All-GLVC selection by the conference coaches.
