SPRINGFIELD – A fourth quarter rally fell just short for the Evangel women’s basketball team Saturday as they fell 67-64 to Grand View at the Ashcroft Center.

The Crusaders would get a pair of looks in the final second but a three-pointer from Randi Hancock rimmed out giving the Vikings the road victory.

Evangel rallied back from as many as 17 points to pull within two with 2 minutes left in the game. However, the Crusaders were unable to get over the final hump as the Vikings held on after shooting 45 percent from the field.

Evangel was led by Allison Swanson who finished with a double-double adding 19 points and 10 boards. Alison Jarrell also finished in double figures with 15 points as she went 3-of-6 from the three-point line and 6-of-6 from the free throw line.

Grand View was led by Maddie Westergard who finished with a game-high 22 points.
