SPRINGFIELD – The Drury Lady Panthers scored a season high 95 points in a 95-75 win over Missouri S&T in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game on Saturday at the O’Reilly Family Event Center.

Five Drury players scored in double-figures with two others putting in nine points each as the 14th ranked Lady Panthers improved to 11-2 and 3-0 in the GLVC. Missouri S&T dropped to 5-4 and 1-2 in the league.

Drury head coach Molly Miller was pleased with her team’s play after being idle since Dec. 19.

“It was a good game to have after the break,” said coach Miller. “We dove on loose balls and got after it defensively. We hang our hat on our defensive pressure and we were able to force 29 turnovers and get 30 points off of those turnovers.”

Hailey Diestelkamp led the team with 16 points. The freshman from Owensville went 6 for 10 from the field and added eight steals, seven rebounds and four assists.

Heather Harman and Paige Wilson both had 15 points while Hannah Dressler had 13 and Briana Jones chipped in 12.

Raetchel Gray led all scorers with 18 points for the Lady Miners. Missouri S&T shot 56 percent from the field connecting on 27 of 48 shots but their 29 turnovers to Drury’s 13 proved to be difference.

The Lady Panthers were 33 for 64 from the field including 11 of 23 from three-point range. Their 11 three’s made matched a season high along with the 29 forced turnovers.

Drury is home again with a conference game on Thursday, Jan. 5. The Lady Panthers take on Wisconsin-Parkside at the O’Reilly Family Event Center with tipoff at 5:30 p.m.
