ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Tevin Foster’s three-pointer 26 feet from the basket with two seconds remaining forced overtime as Drury rallied from eight points behind in the final 45 seconds to win 81-79 at Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday.

The Panthers trailed 69-61 with 45 seconds remaining but chipped away with three-pointers and free throws that led to Foster’s game-tying bucket.

Drury outscored UMSL 6-4 in the overtime period with Brandon Wolfe hitting a pair of three-points for all of the Panthers points in the OT.

Drury improved to 17-8 and 10-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and was the Panthers’ fourth straight win. The Tritons dropped to 10-17 and 4-13 in the league.

“The thing I’m most proud of was that we didn’t drop our heads but kept playing,” said Drury head coach Steve Hesser. “We were fortunate to get it to overtime but it’s a good lesson for us moving forward in that we kept playing and gave ourselves a chance.”

Foster led the Panthers with 22 points. Isaac Johnson finished with 17 points before fouling out with 18 seconds left in regulation.

Elijah Watson led the Tritons with 17 points.

Drury was out-rebounded 44-30 but forced 20 UMSL turnovers while only committing 11.

Drury’s next game ends the regular season. The Panthers play at Missouri S&T on Thursday with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff in Rolla.
