Rachel Dwyer, Glendale
Dwyer capped her senior year with a 23-4 record while placing in the top 12 at the Class 2 state tournament. The senior helped lead Glendale to state, where the Lady Falcons finished their season with a 15-4 record after falling to Springfield Central in the second round. Dwyer won the District 10 tournament with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, and claimed a 6-0, 6-1 victory at sectionals.
Courtney Potter, Rogersville
Potter’s record of 19-3 speaks for itself. The Rogersville junior also placed in the top eight in the Class 1 state tournament and helped lead the Lady Wildcats to a district championship. Potter rolled through districts with a 6-0, 6-0 win. She did the same at sectionals, winning 6-0, 6-1. Potter won her first-round match at state before falling in the second.
Anna Rader, Catholic
Rader continued to dominate during her junior year, which was capped off with a fifth-place finish at the Class 1 state tournament, her third top-five finish in as many years. In three years, Rader has lost one regular-season match. This year, Rader went 18-1 and helped lead Catholic to its first trip to the Final Four since 1999. The Lady Irish (18-2) placed fourth as a team.
Coral Tracy, Kickapoo
Tracy had another strong season during her junior year, compiling a 24-7 singles record and an eighth-place finish at the Class 2 individual single’s state tournament. Tracy posted an 18-4 regular-season record for the Lady Chiefs. Known for having one of the stronger forehand’s in the area, Tracy earned a 6-2, 6-2 win in district play and a 6-2, 6-3 win at sectionals.
