SPRINGFIELD — Senior Zac Salyers netted two goals first half as Kickapoo began its tournament with a 2-1 win over Monett on Wednesday.
Jason Puente got the Cubs on the board first with a goal in the 8th minute.
Salyers leveled the match less than a minute later before burying a header in the 19th minute.
