Columbia native Carl Edwards won 72 NASCAR races before calling it an early career at just 37 years old. Saturday night, “Cousin Carl” returned to his Ozarks racing roots to be inducted into the Ozarks Area Racer’s Association Hall of Fame. Mike Scott had a chance to pick Edwards’ brain on what he’s doing now, his return to the Ozarks and how much he misses driving.
Joining Edwards and Schrader in the Legend category are former Ozarks-area racers Jim Campbell and James Taylor along with the late Daryl Williams. Pioneer category inductees will be Mike Mittler, the St. Louis native and long-time NASCAR Truck Series team owner, along with Bob Aton, Chris Davis, Lonnie Snodgrass and Dan Williams.
