State football has a home for the next five years.
MSHSAA confirmed via email that Mizzou will host both weekends of the MSHSAA Show-Me Bowl for a five-year term starting with the 2018 championships this fall. Faurot Field on the campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia hosted the Class 2 through 5 championship games this past season and the Class 6 and 8-man games in 2016.
Plaster Stadium was the host of the Class 6 and 8-man games this past fall and the Class 2 through 5 games in 2016. St. Louis was the longtime host prior to that in the Dome.
Volleyball was also announced to be staying in Cape Girardeau for a two-year extension through 2020.
Late last year MSHSAA voted to move state cross country from Jefferson City to Columbia starting in 2019 and keep the wrestling championships in Columbia and track championships in Jefferson City.
