NEW ORLEANS, LA – Nixa native and Texas State junior guard Toshua Leavitt set a new NCAA-I record for three-point field goals in a season Saturday night.  Leavitt hit her 130th triple of the year early in the 2nd quarter of the Sun Belt Conference semifinal game against Louisiana.

Leavitt, who is averaging 18.3 points per game for the Bobcats, broke the record previously held by Syracuse’s Brianna Butler, set during the 2015-16 season.

Her 44.3% 3-point field goal percentage (128/293 entering Saturday) ranks 13th in division 1.  Her 4.6 3-point field goals per game is number one.

Leavitt owns several Texas State and Sun Belt records, including her 10 three-pointers hit in a January 27th game against Georgia State.

The 2015 Nixa grad owns the Lady Eagles’ all-time three-point record, earning All-State honors her senior year and being named COC Large Player of the Year.
