2018 Girls Athlete of the Year Finalists

We are down to the final four! Below are the finalists for 2018 O-Zone Girls Athlete of the Year. We’ll announce the winners for all sports on the O-Zone Show, Sun. May 27 on KY3.

Alana Findley, Fair Grove

The Fair Grove junior earned Class 2 First-Team All-State volleyball honors with 360 kills, 130 blocks and a .423 hitting percentage.  In the winter she was a Class 3 First-Team All-State basketball player, averaging 22.8 ppg, 12.5 rpg, 4.7 spg, 3.5 apg and 1.4 bpg.

Hayley Frank, Strafford

The Strafford junior started he year by finishing 54th at the state golf tournament.  She earned Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Missouri leading the Lady Indians to a third straight Class 3 state basketball championship, averaging 24.9 ppg, 12.7 rpg, 7.1 apg, 3.3 spg and 3.0 bpg.  Frank hit .534 with 31 RBIs for the back-to-back state champion softball team.  She’s verbally committed to play basketball at Mizzou.

Madison Hicks, Crane

The Crane junior earned First-TEam All-SWCL Conference in volleyball with 265 kills and 66 blocks.  In basketball Hicks was a Class 2 First-Team All-State selection with 14.8 ppg, 6 rpg and 2.2 spg.  This spring she won the Class 2 400 meter dash while finishing top 5 in the high jump, long jump and triple jump.

Coley Rezabek, Camdenton

The Camdenton senior was the Lakers’ number 1 tennis player in the fall while also finishing 70th at the state golf tournament.  In the winter she earned Ozark Conference Player of the Year and Class 5 All-State with 20.8 ppg, 8 rpg, 4 apg, 3 spg and 1.5 bpg.  Rezabek enters the Class 4 state track meet with the area’s number 3 javelin throw.
