Henderson’s senior season didn’t end the way she had hoped. The Bolivar star was leading the way late in the Class 3 race before collapsing in the final stretch. Throughout the season and for three miles of the state race, Henderson was the area’s best. She would finish seventh out of 548 runners at the Chili Pepper Invitational. Her postseason run included winning the COC Small championship by 49 seconds and the Class 3 District 7 title by 42 seconds.
