Meek was the area’s best golfer at any state tournament this year with a two-round score of 144 at the Class 4 state tournament. That score, which consisted of a 70 on day one and a 74 on day 2, was good enough for third overall. Glendale’s No. 1 golfer won the sectional meet and was the district runner-up to make him the area’s most consistent postseason performer. He also won top medalist honors at the Carthage Invitational.
