Hillcrest soccer will be young again as the Hornets must replace all three of their all-conference players from last year’s team in Dylan Roach, Braden Sheffield and Thomas Sterpe.
They have had a solid summer with the players who have shown up for conditioning.
“There isn’t one or two (standouts) , but all of the ones that have been coming are working hard and are anxious to get the season started,” head coach Denys Hansen said.

Hunter Stillwell will be a key for Hillcrest as he returns at goalkeeper.
Going into this season, Hansen’s expectations are simple.
“My expectations are to always get better, play hard and have fun. After all, if you are not having fun why play,” Hansen said.
Hillcrest will host Fair Grove, Laquey and Willard for a preseason jamboree. The Hornets will open the season on Aug. 28 at home with Ozark Conference rival Waynesville.
