Rolla softball will look to bounce back from a 3-21 season as Jessika Zink takes over as the head coach of the program after five years as an assistant coach.
“I have had the opportunity to assist in the program the past five years. I have enjoyed coaching alongside Tim Dunn who has left some big shoes to fill for the Rolla Lady Bulldog Softball program,” Zink said.
Zink didn’t name any specific players heading into the season, but expects a large number for tryouts.

“We are looking forward to working as a team and competing this season. We have gained numbers on our roster and we will have depth in many areas,” Zink said. “We will be striving for excellence both on and off the field. The Lady Bulldogs have put in hard work in the off season and will continue to bring the intensity this fall. We will have returners from last year along with many new faces from the freshman class.”
Rolla will travel to Washington for a preseason jamboree at 4 p.m. on Aug. 20 with Waynesville. The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Union on Aug. 24 and 25 for a tournament to open the regular season. They will travel to Parkview on Sept. 6 to open Ozark Conference play.
