Two Ozark seniors are sweeping cross-country meets this season; finishing first and second week after week, but it’s hard telling who beats whom. That’s because they’re identical twins, and like many twins, Alexis and Brocklyn Barber do everything the same.

“We do everything together. We share a car, we share money, we share everything,” said Alexis.

On Tuesday, Alexis beat Brocklyn by 30 seconds in the Nixa Invitational, but earlier this month Brocklyn climbed to the top of the podium beating her sister at Willow Springs. The two openly support each other in races, but both want to win.

“It’s good and it’s bad because you always want to beat her, but you always have her to push you,” said Brocklyn.
“Sometimes it doesn’t even feel like she’s running next to me. It feels like we’re one person at times, which is a strange concept to many,” Alexis said.

Since the two don’t do anything without the other, it’s only right that the Barber twins are this week’s Arby’s High School Co-Athlete of the Week.
