Missouri State head coach Dave Steckel announced today (Nov. 19) the receipt of National Letters of Intent from 21 new recruits for the 2019 season as part of the college football early signing period.
The Bears will welcome 18 high school seniors and three transfers to the program, in addition to a number of additional newcomers expected to be added to the recruiting list during the regular spring signing period, which begins February 6.
“We are very happy with such a great start to our recruiting class, and I want to welcome our new players to the Bears family,” said Steckel. “I also want to thank our staff for their relentless efforts to sign quality young men to the program who we are confident will contribute to our future success.
“As always, the Bear Blitz will be back on the road in January to finish the job for the 2019 signing class.”
Steckel noted that he and his staff will be able to provide more comprehensive analysis of the entire signing class, including player positions, when the class is complete.
The MSU coaches annually host a recruiting night party to unveil their entire class for fans and media at Springfield Brewing Company. Details on this year’s event, which will take place on February 6, will be finalized at a later date.
