SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury Lady Panthers are ranked number one in the nation for the third week in a row in the WBCA/NCAA-II coaches’ poll. Drury is 23-0, 13-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and received all 24 first-place votes after posting wins over Maryville, 105-57, and the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 77-44 last week.

The Lady Panthers are now one of only two teams in NCAA-II women’s basketball without a loss after Thomas Jefferson fell 70-59 to the University of the Sciences last week. UC San Diego, ranked second in the poll, is 20-0 and is the nation’s only other undefeated team.

Indiana (Pa.) (20-1) is ranked third this week while Fort Hays State (21-1) is fourth and the University of the Sciences (22-1) is fifth.

One other team from the GLVC is in the top 25 as Lewis (20-2, 11-1) is number 16 in this week’s poll.

Drury is nationally ranked for the 90th consecutive week, the longest such streak in the nation, and they are in the top 10 for the 28th week in a row.

The Lady Panthers are idle until Saturday when they travel to Missouri S&T for a 1 p.m. game in Rolla.
