Seymour will look to improve on a four-win season entering coach Trent Copling’s second season as head coach.
The Lady Tigers have a strong group of returning starters including: Crystal Misemer (junior guard), Karli Henry (junior forward), Libby Buchanan (senior guard), and Hailey Felton (sophomore forward). Mismer led the team with 11.2 points per game last year. Henry chipped in 8.3 points per game of her own. Felton was the leading rebounder for the Lady Tigers at 7.4 per game.
Those four players will serve as the strength of the Lady Tigers.
“Our biggest strength this season will be experience, all four players that I mentioned are all returning starters,” Copling said.

Copling will look for his team to cut down on turnovers.
“We must do a better job of controlling the basketball. We struggled with turnovers last year,” Copling said.
Overall, Copling is looking for his girls to keep improving and take the next step in rebuilding the program.
“We still are a rebuilding program, so my expectations for the season are to improve on things that we worked on last year and hopefully surprise some teams,” Copling said.
Seymour opens the season on Nov. 25 at home against Forsyth.
