Branson basketball star Priscilla Williams has been named to the McDonald’s All-American roster. The game will take place on Wednesday, Apr. 1 in Houston. The girls game will be played at 4 p.m. with the boys game to follow. Williams has signed with Syracuse.
Williams is the first southwest Missouri player, girl or boy, to be named to a McDonald’s All-American roster. She is the fifth Missouri girl to earn the honor. The other four are: Alecia Sutton, Parkway North (2016), Sophie Cunningham, Rock Bridge (2015), Napheesa Collier, Incarnate Word (2015) and Tyra White, Hickman Hills (2007).
Missouri has had 13 boys earn the honor including: Caleb Love, CBC (2020), Jayson Tatum, Chaminade (2016), Brad Beal, Chaminade (2011), Tyler Hansbrough, Poplar Bluff (2005), David Lee, Chaminade (2001), JaRon Rush, Pembroke Hill (1998), Larry Hughes, CBC (1997), Loren Woods, Cardinal Ritter (1996), Derek Hood, Central (KC) (1995), Ryan Robertson, St. Charles West (1995), Anthony Peeler, Paseo (KC) (1988), Joe Kleine, Slater (1980) and Steve Stipanovich, DeSmet (1979).
On the boys side, Bryce Thompson (Booker T. Washington) and Jeremy Roach (Paul VI) all have earned invites to the McDonald’s All-American game after playing in this year’s Bass Pro Tournament of Champions. Sharife Cooper (McEachern) was MVP of the 2019 Bass Pro Tournament of Champions and earned an invite.
