“Without a doubt,” Central grad Kevin Kring said, “I know my game was better than it ever was before.  I was looking forward to playing in March because I was peaking at the right time.”

Kring had a full schedule of golf this summer.  But starting in march, week after week, tournaments were cancelled.

“I felt bad for the first two to three weeks because I didn’t know what the future would hold,” Kring said.

He knew there’d be golf someday so he took advantage of Highland Springs being open.  It’s an advantage other golfers in other cities didn’t have thanks to their courses being closed.

“I feel like I might be ahead of the game for some people around the country and I want to take advantage of it and hit the road as soon as possible,” Kring said.

Swings, stamina, and sterilized.  Safety first for Kring during his spring practice because he knows any severe illness can sideline a season.

“In 2017 I had food poisoning and lost 17 pounds in a week,” Kring said, “it probably knocked me out for the rest of the summer.”

Kring and others looking to advance in the Korn Ferry Tour don’t know what the season will look like.

“We don’t know what Monday Qualifiers will look like.  Is there a Q School?  All of those things are up in the air,” Kring said, “but it nice to have tournaments on the schedule.”
