Evangel’s upcoming football contest at Graceland, scheduled for Saturday (Oct. 3) afternoon in Lamoni, Iowa, has been postponed.
The decision comes at the request of Graceland Athletics after contact tracing and cautionary quarantine procedures were enacted. Delaying this game will allow student-athletes to return to the field of play in the safest manner possible by allowing the appropriate time for practice and physical reconditioning.
Evangel University follows the best health and safety practices and guidance to protect students, faculty, and staff. Efforts to slow the virus have included conducting baseline testing of students on campus, requiring face coverings, and mandating social distancing.
