New Covenant girls basketball has posted four consecutive winning seasons. The Lady Warriors will look to keep that streak alive with two all-conference seniors returning to lead the team.
Isabel Rohlfing, who has signed with Central Missouri, earned first-team all-conference honors as a junior. She averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds per game last year.
“She is a beast but will need to get her teammates involved more for us to be successful,” New Covenant head coach David Anderlik said.
Bodeen was named second-team all-conference as a junior after scoring 9.5 points per game with 3 assists per game.
“She is smart and can shoot. We will need her shooting percentage to climb this year if we are going to be successful,” Anderlik said. “Both girls are natural leaders and their teammates really respect them and their game.”

Junior Alexis Ruff has shown marked off-season improvement.
“(Ruff) has improved a lot and has a great attitude. She works hard, and though she is a little undersized at the position, can score inside as well as hit mid-range shots for us. We will need some increased production out of her this season,” Anderlik said.
Lily Auer (sophomore guard), Claudia Cannefax (sophomore forward), Meghan Auer (junior forward) Kaydley Herndon (junior guard) and Cate Latimer (junior guard) will all have expanded varsity roles this year.
“Our goal is to be tough-minded on both sides of the ball. We want to be bulldogs defensively and get a lot of points in the paint offensively,” Anderlik said. “Our goal is .500 record-wise, but I think this group, with their unity, toughness, and dedication, has a chance to surprise themselves and everyone else.”
New Covenant opens the season on Nov. 20 at Sarcoxie.
