Bradleyville girls basketball has found consistent success with seven consecutive seasons with at least 15 wins. Last year, the Lady Eagles finished 15-12.
Three seniors are gone from last year’s team led by Emily Williams. Williams scored 18.4 points per game last year on her way to a first-team all-conference selection.
This year, senior guards Tay Sims and Maddie Shipley will be team leaders. Sims was the team’s second-leading scorer at 15.6 points per game last year. She is also the leading returner in rebounds per game (6.6), steals per game (4.1) and assists per game (3.4). All of those numbers added up to a first-team all-conference selection for her. Shipley is a strong defender who will look to increase production across the board.

Maggie Hayes returns for her junior season. She missed her freshman year due to an ACL tear. She came back and averaged 5.2 points per game last year playing in all 27 games.
“Last season she played well, but at times you could tell the injury was still an issue,” Bradleyville head coach Charles Hurst said. “This year she looks like she has never had the injury.”
Juniors Heidi Todd and Zoie Sims also return. Todd earned honorable mention all-conference last season averaging 6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
The sophomore trio of Desiree Nelson (guard), Jacquelyn Clemans (forward) and Hannah Hampton (center) along with freshman Addie Sims (guard) will look to make an immediate varsity impact.
Bradleyville opens the season Nov. 30 through Dec. 5 at the Crane Tournament.
