Thomas Jefferson has won 19 games in back-to-back seasons. The Cavaliers will have to replace a three-player senior class that accounted for 62% of the scoring last year to keep that streak alive.
“We lost three seniors last year that were a big part of our success these past two seasons,” Thomas Jefferson head coach Chris Myers said. “Combined they made up 62% of our scoring last year. The story of our season will be how this team gels as we look to replace those key players.”
Senior Dhruv Gheewala will be one of those key players. He is a three-time all-conference selection who has scored 1,039 career points. Last year, he averaged 11.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3 assists per game.

Senior Kelsey Atteberry will bring energy and attitude to the team. He averaged 3.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
Junior Drew Goodhope will be a top shooter for the team after he shot 36% from three last year.
Sophomore Jay Ball has shown marked improvement in the off-season. The 6’5 center has gotten stronger and runs the floor well. Classmate Tyler Brouhard has also improved, and he should see an expanded role on varsity.
Junior Elias Rincker rounds out the returning players with his great motor and leaping ability.
Senior Noah Hamlett and junior Caden Myers are returning players. Hamlett hasn’t played since his freshman year. Myers is a transfer from Webb City and will run the point.
“We will be a team that likes to run the floor. We are deeper than we’ve been these past couple of seasons, and that should allow us to keep the tempo up most games,” Myers said. “We feel like we will be a very competitive team that should have the ability to compete with anyone on our schedule.”
