ST. LOUIS, Mo.— Senior forward Emily Parker scored a career-high 26 points and had a double-double adding 11 rebounds as the number one ranked Drury Lady Panthers stayed undefeated with a 76-56 win over Maryville at Moloney Arena in St. Louis on Saturday.
Drury improved to 10-0 and won their 42nd straight game dating back to the 2019 national semifinals, while Maryville dropped to 7-8.
Parker went 10 for 15 from the field, 5 of 7 from the free-throw line, and the Aurora native added a three-point basket in the contest. Five of her 11 rebounds came on the offensive end for the Lady Panthers, and she also contributed two blocked shots. The double-double was the first of Parker’s career.
“I told our assistant coaches right after the game that it seemed like every time Maryville was getting back in it, Emily Parker made a big play for us,” said Drury head coach Amy Eagan. “Whether it was a shot, a rebound, or her defense, she just made plays when we needed them.”
After falling behind 8-4, the Lady Panthers responded to go up 24-13 at the end of the first quarter. Maryville pulled within six at halftime, 40-34, but Drury opened the third period on an 11-3 run that put the game out of reach.
Paige Robinson added 16 points and five assists, while Azia Lynch, Allie Clevenger, and Haley Meely had 10 points each for Drury.
Karlee Feldman led Maryville with 12 points.
In addition to Drury’s 42nd straight win overall, it marked the team’s 30th consecutive road victory and their 76th straight win in the regular season.
The Lady Panthers return to action on Tuesday when they host Rockhurst for a 5:30 pm game at the O’Reilly Family Event Center
