The 2022 Bass Pro Tournament of Champions field has been announced. Parkview and Nixa will represent the area in the event.
The out of area teams that will be featured for the 37th T of C are:
- Sierra Canyon (California)
- Milton (Georgia)
- Whitney Young (Chicago)
- Paul VI (Virginia)
- Rainier Beach (Washington)
- Putnam City North (Oklahoma City)
Sierra Canyon is highlighted by LeBron James Jr. who will be a junior. The son of the NBA great is ranked No. 24 in the Class of 2023. The Class of 2022 is loaded for Sierra Canyon with Amari Bailey (No. 5), Chance Westry (No. 32) and Ramel Lloyd Jr. (No. 127) all ranked in the top 150 in the Class of 2022 by Rivals.
Milton sports one of the best backcourts in the nation with 2022 No. 12 Bruce Thorton and 2023 No. 11 Kanaan Carlyle leading the team. Kendall Campbell (2022 No. 94) gives Milton a third Top 150 recruit to lean on. Thornton is a five-star point guard committed to Ohio State.
Whitney Young will make their first trip to the T of C led by 2022 No. 21 AJ Casey, who is a 6’8 power forward.
Paul VI has made several trips to the T of C over the past decade. Next year’s team will be led by four-start 2022 point guard Dug McDaniel. McDaniel is ranked No. 67 in the Class of 2022 by Rivals.
