Central used a strong fourth quarter to defend its top seed and home court in a 62-52 Class 6 District 10 win over Ozark Conference rival Waynesville.The two teams were even through the first quarter at 9-9. Central took a three-point lead at the half with a 29-26 advantage.The third quarter was more gridlock with each team scoring 14 points in the frame to make it 43-40 going to the final quarter. Central outscored Waynesville 19-12 in the final frame en route to a 62-52 win.Makaiya Brooks (23) led Central with 23 points.Heaven Shockley (42) scored 18 points in the win.Aaliyah Pittman (55) gave Central a third player in double figures with 17.Naudia Evans (1) finished her Waynesville career with a team-high 22 points.Freshman Breona Hurd (32) scored 16 points for Waynesville in the loss.Central advances to face Lebanon for the Class 6 District 10 title at 6 pm on Thursday at Parkview.
