Drury men’s basketball adds D1 transfer Clay Gayman

Drury men’s basketball has picked up a D1 transfer in Clay Gayman. Gayman, a native of Nevada, Mo., announced on Twitter that he will return to southwest Missouri after playing three seasons at Division I Abilene Christian University.

Gayman saw time in 87 games over his three seasons at Abilene Christian scoring 571 total points over the three seasons. He was Abilene Christian’s fourth-leading scorer this year averaging 8.2 points per game in just 15 minutes per game. He scored nine points in Abilene Christian’s first round upset of Texas in the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to Abilene Christian, Gayman played at Nevada where he averaged 21.9 points, 11.5 rebounds and 4.4 blocks per game while shooting 58% from the field as a senior.
