The Kickapoo boys won their first team title since 1995. Tyler Harris and Brooklyn Creehan paced Kickapoo in 8th and 9th place. Neosho senior Kaden Cole was the area’s top finisher in 6th place.
On the girls’ side, Parkview’s Lilah Genel finished in 13 th place and Joplin’s Jennalee Dunn tok 14th to lead the area.Â

The West Plains girls made it back-to-back team titles with 59 points to easily beat second-place Farmington and its 97-point output. Jordan and Brayden Kantola finished 1-2 to lead West Plains. Jayna Gunter (7th) and Addison Sanders (21st) gave the Zizzers four all-state finishers. Webb City’s Abigail Street (5th) and Riley Hawkins (8th) along with Rolla’s Isabella Frost (10th) also finished in the top 10.
The Willard boys brought home the program’s first team trophy with a second-place finish. Rolla’s Nathanael Pohlsander was the area’s top finisher in 7th place.

El Dorado Springs senior Daelen Ackley came up just short of a three-peat as a state champion with a state runner-up finish. East Newton’s Gabe Bergen (8th), Kelton Sorrell (10th) and Chase Sorrell (13th) helped East Newton to finish third as a team.
Hannah Klaiber from El Dorado Springs was the area’s top finisher on the girls’ side in 11th place.

Southwest Missouri was dominant in Class 2.
Blue Eye’s Riley Arnold won sprint down the homestretch to claim her fourth straight individual state title.
On the boys’ side, Stockton won the program’s first team championship and the first team championship of any boys program in Stockton history. New Covenant’s Tanner Talley won the individual title in Class 2.

The Hermitage boys cruised to the Class 1 team title with 61 points, which was half of runner-up Oak Ridge’s total. Plato’s David Held finished as state runner-up individually closely followed by Hermitage’s Bennett Mantooth in third and Thomas Jefferson’s Kip Atteberry in fourth.
Morrisville’s Miya Bess was the lone top 10 finisher in the area on the girls’ side in 9th place.
