Stoutland girls basketball is looking to bounce back from a three-win season last year. Last season snapped a streak of six seasons with double-digit wins.
Senior Kailyn Stradt will be the team leader. She earned all-conference and all-district honors while leading the team in almost every statistical category.
Junior point guard Bethan Kincaid is Stoutland’s only other returning starter.
Coach Dayton Robison is excited about the freshman trio of Cadence Chaffin, Schona Looney and Reagan Henry. He expects them to play a big role on varsity right away.

This group will be an athletic one.
“Our best strength will hopefully be our ability to get out in transition and run, as we have a lot of really good athletes this year,” Robison said. “Communication on both ends of the floor will be a key point for us this year.”
Stoutland will travel to Lebanon on Nov. 18 for a jamboree with Conway, Plato and Lebanon. The Lady Tigers open the regular season on Nov. 19 at home against Halfway.
“(Our expectation) is to compete with each team on our schedule to the best of our ability,” Robison said. “We hope to be the most disciplined team on the floor every night.”
