Tuesday night was a special one for the second-ranked Drury Lady Panthers.
The team received their national runner-up rings before the 65-58 win over No. 18 Minnesota Duluth.

The program also honored two of its best players during halftime by retiring the jersey numbers of Hailey Diestelkamp and Daejah Bernard.

Diestelkamp wore number 34 for the Lady Panthers as she won two NCAA-II Player of the Year awards. She is Drury’s all-time leader in career scoring and rebounding.
Bernard wore number 5 for Drury as she was named GLVC Defensive Player of the Year three times. She is the program’s all-time leader in career assists.
The duo helped Drury tally a 128-8 record during their four seasons, including a 72-2 record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The Lady Panthers went 67-1 during Diestelkamp and Bernard’s two seasons as upperclassmen. The run included reaching the national semifinals in 2019 and a perfect 32-0 record in 2020 before the season was halted due to COVID-19.
