The Springfield Catholic boys basketball team has been added to the 2022 Tournament of Champions field.
The Irish will replace Rainier Beach, which is withdrawing due to logistical issues.
Springfield Public Schools announced the change Thursday afternoon.
Catholic is 13-1 this year, with its only loss coming to Kickapoo in the Blue & Gold championship.
The Irish will open tournament play versus Paul VI (Virginia) on Thursday, Jan 13.
