Southwest Baptist men improve to 19-4

Bolivar, Mo- The SBU Men’s Basketball team traveled to Illinois-Springfield to seek their 7th straight win tonight. The Bearcats took the lead nine minutes into the game and never looked back from there winning 75-57. That win moves the Bearcats to 19-4 (13-3 GLVC), currently 3rd in the GLVC PRS standings.

As a team, SBU shot 50% from the field for the second straight game. The Bearcats had 9 different scorers in the game, but the reigning GLVC player of the week Quinn Nelson led the way. He had 20 points going 8-11 (72.7%) from the field and 3-4 (75%) from beyond the arc. Bearcats outrebounded the Prairie Stars 31-25 behind Tyler Williams game leading 7 rebounds; he also had his first career start tonight.
 
The Bearcats finish off their road trip as they travel to the #1 team in the GLVC, Lewis University. The Flyers are also the reigning GLVC tournament champions. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
