It was a big day for Kickapoo’s Ashlyn Moore at the Class 2 state swim meet on Saturday. Moore set a meet record in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.58. She finished fifth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.89.
Moore also earned all-state finishes on the 200- and 400-yard relays combining with teammates Emilie St. George, Nikole St. George and Emma Mayne for a sixth place finish in each event.
Emilie St. George brought home two individual all-state finishes placing eighth in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.35) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:20.03).
Nixa’s Ellie Turnbull also earned all-state honors placing sixth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.71.
